synopsis

It is the story of a song, a poem rescued by Federico García Lorca from the popular songbook and recorded with the coplista and bailaora La Argentinita for the record label La Voz De Su Amo in 1931. From its release on slate records to today’s digital studio sound, Anda Jaleo has become one of the most covered songs in Spanish folklore. The documentary is a tribute to this song. Through the creation of new versions and adaptations by artists from different disciplines and diverse musical genres, we learn about the history of this song and its multiple arrangements and interpretations.
